Instructions for Parents and Coaches

August Festival Instructions

General

Please note changes to parking.

-Please arrive EARLY to allow plenty of time to find parking.  Only one car per family, carpools are very much encouraged and park in assigned area.  Please obey all NO PARKING signs at the Line Road Complex.  Please do not park in the Church parking lot. 

-No dogs are permitted at the Line Road Complex.  Please leave them at home!  If you bring a dog, you will be asked to remove the dog from the site.

-Concessions will be available at the GCVSA snack bar--- please plan accordingly.

-Be sure to keep fields clean!!  Do not leave trash behind.

Parents

-Please clap and cheer loudly (for both teams)!  Parents are EXPECTED to be RESPECTFUL of all participants--- negative comments directed at officials, coaches or players will not be tolerated. 

-Central League Soccer is using this festival to train new officials---please treat them with appropriate respect as they learn their craft!

-Please be sure to take all trash and put it in appropriate containers

Coaches

-Normal game rules apply.  For the U9 age group, officials are directed to be instructional (i.e. allowing players to re-do inappropriately taken throw ins).  Referee fees are included in your registration fee.

-Games are 30 minutes running clock, so please arrive on time. Please be sure to have your team ready to go for their game.  When your game is complete, please move your team off the field quickly.  Officials are instructed to keep games on schedule.

- Teams are encouraged to exchange patches.  There are no standings, no trophies, no medals---just have fun playing soccer and get your team to play against live competition.

-Please make sure to CLEAN UP your sideline area after each game!

-All players and coaches are required to be carded players registered thru EPYSA and/or their state association.

-There is no required check in procedure, please report to your game field and be ready to play at your designated game time.

-Parents/Coaches are encouraged to clap and cheer loudly for both teams!  Coaches are EXPECTED to be RESPECTFUL of all participants--- negative comments directed at officials, other coaches or players will not be tolerated. 

-Coaches are RESPONSIBLE for the behavior of your parents.  Encourage appropriate behavior.

-Central League Soccer is using this festival to train new officials---please treat them with appropriate respect as they learn their craft!

REMEMBER--- this is U9 – U15 soccer--- set a GREAT example for our players!
