Mission Statement

  • The mission of the Central League is:
  • To build a locally-based league centered around the Route 476 and Route 30 corridor in an effort to reduce travel time for youth players to and from games.
  • To focus on technical player development and sportsmanship as well as to create an overall positive competitive environment that allows for appropriate levels of competition for all players that does not emphasize winning as the ultimate objective.
  • To create a fun and positive experience for players, families, coaches, and officials to generate a life-long love for the game of soccer.
  • To afford mobility of players within club teams to have competitive and developmental balance.

The Central League is travel soccer with “more soccer… less travel.”

History

Central League Soccer was founded in 2012 by like-minded soccer innovators at clubs in Radnor, Haverford, Greater Chester Valley, Marple Newtown, Tredyffrin-Eastown, and Rose Tree Media, in order to create a more sensible development model for youth soccer.  These six clubs and their twenty-seven U9 Boys and Girls teams started with a vision of “more soccer…less travel” in order to create a travel soccer program that better suited the needs of the players, parents and clubs.  With a player and family friendly environment, Central League Soccer encourages boys and girls to strive for excellence while playing soccer without the pressures of spending hours in the car to get to a game.  In 2024, the league has expanded to fifty two clubs, eight age divisions including both Fall, Winter, and Spring seasons.
